A
Little About Me
I
was born on July 9th, 1979 in Memphis, Tn. I lived in
Memphis until 1989. In the summer of 1989, my parents bought 300
acres and built a house in Coldwater, MS. While living in
Coldwater, I attended Magnolia Heights School and
Senatobia
City School
. I graduated from Senatobia
High School on May 20th, 1997.
That fall I attended
Northwest Mississippi
Community College . Being at Northwest made me feel like I
was in the 13th Grade because a majority of my high
school friends went there with me. I stayed at Northwest until
1999.
In 2000, I went to
Delta State
University in Cleveland, MS. While at Delta State, I majored
in Elementary Education. On May 10, 2003, I graduated with a
Bachelor of Science in Education. That fall I taught my first
group of students.
As part of my teaching
philosophy, I believe one never stops learning. In June of 2004,
I attended the University of
Mississippi to further my education. In May of 2005, I
graduated with a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis
in Curriculum and Instruction.
It has now been five years,
since I first walked into a classroom for the first time. Since
then, I have learned so much about myself and how students
learn. I love my job and look forward to providing
opportunities for educational excellence to my up and coming
kindergarteners.
